The Sphynx breed comes in a variety of colors and markings like any ordinary cat. The color of the skin is what the fur would be. Sphynx noses and paw pads comes in many different colors such as black, blue, red, cream, chocolate, lavender, cinnamon, and fawn. The breed also has the usual cat markings, such as solid, point, van, tabby, tortie, and so on.

Thanks to a careful breeding program, the Sphynx breed does not suffer from any major medical concerns beyond normal health care and have a normal lifespan. Sphynx cat breeders from Europe and North America have bred this cat with other normal-coated cats and then back to hairless in order to strengthen the genetic makeup of the breed.

The Sphynx cat has a very unique appearance, but his personality is even more unusual. It’s often said that Sphynx kittens are one part cat, one part dog, one part monkey and one part child - and most who have had the good fortune to meet one of these individuals are quick to agree with that description.

People often wonder is a sphynx hypoallergenic. It is hard to say: everyone reacts differently. Personally, my nephew is very allergic to cats but this breed does not cause an allergic reaction for him. I highly suggest that you take a "snuggle test" to be sure before purchasing a Sphynx.. Failing to take your time and make a rational decision will be frustrating, not only for you, but heartbreaking for your kitten as well. Please feel free to set up a visit.
